The eGistics Client Decisioning Module (CDM) is an optional distributed exceptions management feature of the eGistics Payments Content Executive (PCE).

CDM accelerates receivables posting by enabling corporate billers to review and correct exceptions the same-day they are processed by lockbox provider.  Banks and third-party payment processors benefit from a new source of fee income and stronger customer relationships.

CDM is ideal for crippled items, or items with missing or incomplete information

Banks and other payment processors use CDM to provide their corporate clients with the ability to securely manage exception items online, the same-day they are processed.  CDM's exceptions management engine groups items based on user-configurable rules and the decision status of each item (e.g., hold, no-decision, etc.).  Corporate customers then securely log into CDM to accept, reject or hold exceptions, add or update information necessary to resolve exceptions, and annotate comments regarding actions taken.  The eGistics solution automatically balances transactions, displaying a running total and error messages.Click here to see the full picture of same-day decisioning!

Customers use a single sign-on to manage exceptions captured across multiple lock-box sites.  The CDM queues are "swept" at pre-defined times during the day so reviewed items can return to the payments processing workflow.  At a customer-determined time each day, the decisioning queue is closed and eGistics uses customer-created business rules to determine the final decision status — "auto-accepted" or "auto-declined" — for any items that have not been decisioned.  CDM also supports multi-day queues for longer decision cycles.

Administration

And CDM makes it a snap to configure field validation rules.  The application provides capabilities for pattern matching, check digit routines and more.  Administrators can drag-and-drop field validation rules and upload stop file lists.  Each field can be configured with multiple validation checks.  A pre-production environment also allows administrators to test configuration settings before changes are moved into production.

Additionally, CDM includes summary and detail activity reports.  Data for the reports can be sorted by group (company or division of a company), date ranges, user ID, and item status (accepted, hold, no decision, rejected, secondary, auto-accepted, auto-rejected).
